The report states that Poland may be sitting on shale oil as well as gas
There were unofficial claims this week that Poland’s shale might not just contain gas, but oil as well.
According to news site TVN24, the information is to be published in a report by the Polish Geological Institute which, it is expected, will be released at the end of October.
If the claims are correct, then oil-bearing shale could be contained in three different regions around the country; the south-east of Mazovia, eastern Pomerania and specific areas of the Sub-Carpathian region.
