Agnieszka Radwanska continued the best winning streak of her life by taking her second tournament on the trot in Beijing last weekend. The win, coming on top of success in the previous tournament in Tokyo, has catapulted the Krakow player to her highest ever ranking - eighth in the world, and means she is almost certain to feature in the Master’s Tournament in Istanbul at the end of the season.

Radwanska told Rzeczpospolita she went to Asia completely relaxed. “I was on the way out - ranked 14, with several hundred points to get to eighth place. It looked impossible. I wasn’t chasing anyone, I just wanted a good end to the season,” she told the paper.
