Poland’s direct interest in this year’s Champions’ League all but ended this week, with the departure of Olympiakos Athens and Celtic from this year’s tournament. Michał Żewłakow and Celtic keeper Artur Boruc have both been at the centre of their teams’ success in advancing to the knock out stages. But both sides ran up against a brick wall in the form of, respectively, Chelsea and Barcelona in the last 16.
