Jaroslaw Kaczynski has finally spoken out and admitted that the comments in his new book regarding German Chancellor Angela Merkel were “a mistake”.
In ‘The Poland of Our Dreams’, the Law and Justice (PiS) leader said that Ms Merkel wished for Poland to “submit” to Germany and that Germany saw its neighbour as an “obstacle” to it forming a stronger alliance with Russia.
However speaking in an interview with Rzeczpospolita, Mr Kaczynski said that if it were not these comments then it would have been “something else” that people would point to as the reason for his party’s failure in the recent elections.
