Wisla are hanging on after their home win over Fulham
Poland’s remaining two teams are clinging onto life in the Europa League following a happier Thursday night than of late. Both Legia and Wisla claimed important victories that could see them survive into the New Year and go beyond the group stages.
Wisla’s win over Fulham was backs against the wall time for the Krakow team. The game was pretty even for the first thirty minutes, Johnson going close after a quarter of an hour. Then in the most significant act of the evening Moussa Dembele decided to extract a little off-the-ball revenge for an earlier tussle with Nunez, for which he saw a red card. That handed Wisla the advantage they needed.
