Police are now trying to establish how many people Danuta K. stole from
Police arrested a nurse in Lublin this week who had stolen from over 100 severely ill patients.
According to daily Fakt, 34-year-old Danuta K. was finally caught when police uncovered more than 100 documents including ID cards and passports which it is believed were taken from people staying in the hospital where she worked.
The items were found in a hotel room where she was living at the time.
“She lived in hotels in Lublin and Pulawy, moving from place to place as it made her harder to trace. The goods were often taken from patients after painful surgery when they were least likely to be aware that something was missing from their belongings,” a police spokesman told gazeta.pl.
