Piotr Protasiewicz states he would rather ride for his club
Piotr Protasiewicz has resigned from competing in next year’s speedway Grand Prix as a result of the new regulations imposed by the Polish speedway authorities. “The 2011 season was a really successful one for me. In August I reached the goal I set of qualifying for the GPs. As a reward for that, I got these wonderful regulations from the Polish authorities. All Europe is laughing at us, that a Pole can’t represent his country internationally, because then he has to give up racing in his home league. It’s totally absurd. If I have to choose between my club and the GPs, I choose my club!” said an angry Protasiewicz.
