Agnieszka Radwanska's chances are still alive after her win
Agnieszka Radwanska battled past Vera Zvonareva in quite extraordinary fashion to keep alive her chances of progressing in the Masters tournament in Istanbul. In the Thursday night match Zvonareva started in flying fashion, as Radwanska went down in double-quick time 6-1.
Initially Radwanska was short on power and had no answer to the Russian’s pacey groundstrokes.
But in the second set, the Russian faltered, making a host of unforced errors as she started missing the lines by a long way. Radwanska hadn’t really changed anything in her game, and it merely seemed that it was enough to pat the ball back across and wait for her opponent to mess up on her own.
