Mr Tomaszewski has denied all links with the SB

Reports this week state that former goalkeeping legend Jan Tomaszewski has denied accusations that he previously worked as a communist secret agent in the mid 80s.

Mr Tomaszewski, now an MP for Law and Justice (PiS), reacted to claims in Newsweek that he worked for the communist Security Service (SB) by stating that he “never reported on anybody”.

“I never had to deal with the secret services,” the ex-footballer told news station TVP. “I was just a normal citizen.”

He went on to say that he believed the recent claims were related to his pre-election pledge that he would help expose the corruption surrounding the construction of infrastructure for the upcoming EURO 2012 foo ...
