The 'Blue Card' has been introduced to help protect children
A new law has come into force requiring teachers to report suspected child abuse on a so-called ‘Blue Card’.
According to Gazeta Wyborcza, research shows that every third teacher suspects that one of their students has been beaten at home and the new legislation is aimed at bringing abusive parents to justice.
Last year as many as 16,000 people were sentenced for domestic violence in Poland, with 3,000 of the cases relating to violence against minors. ...
