There has been speculation over Chavez's future at the club
Wisla’s new manager Kazimierz Moskal appears unsure about his starting line-up for this weekend’s match against Gornik Slask. In three practice matches held this week, the new man has fielded radically different first elevens. One player certain to return to the starting line up is the Krakow side’s Honduran international Osman Chavez. The return is less to do with form and more due to injuries forcing Moskal’s hand with a player who made a dreadful error last time out and about whom rumours are flying in his native country.
The Honduran press claim Chavez wants out and are linking him with Racing Santander, Hamburg and Sporting Lisbon. “It’s all lies. I’ve had no offers and I don’t want to leave. I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given by Wisla. I feel a debt of gratitude to the club, the more so since I’ve not been playing well of late,” commented the Honduran.
Further evidence of Chavez wanting to leave is in the claims that the player has stopped taking Polish lessons. “That’s another lie. They asked me if I could speak Polish and I told them it was very difficult, that’s all,” he told Dziennik Polski.
