This week saw the funeral of Tadeusz Sawicz, the last surviving Polish Battle of Britain fighter pilot who passed away on October 19, aged 97.
There were a number of ceremonies held, with the final one taking place at Warsaw’s Powazki Military Cemetery which was attended by members of the pilot’s family and Deputy Defence Minister Czeslaw Mroczek.
