Tusk to Boycott Olympic Launch

Prime Minister Donald Tusk told organisers this week he will not take part in the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic games in protest at the Chinese government’s reaction to protests in aid of Tibetan independence, daily Dziennik reported. The move, which comes after a week of public debate over how Poland should reaction, was applauded by Law and Justice (PiS), Tusk ’s main opposition in parliament.
