The number of employed Poles currently looking for new jobs has dropped dramatically since last year according to new statistics from the Central Statistical Office (GUS), published in Dziennik Gazeta Prawna.

Approximately 462,000 working Poles searched for new jobs during the 3rd quarter of 2011, a decrease of over 30 percent compared to the same time last year.

BPH economist Kaja Retkiewicz-Wijtiwiak claims that the figures “do not show much hope or optimism”.
