Reports state the cocaine was worth PLN 500,000 on the street
A Greek man was arrested this week at Warsaw’s Chopin Airport after being caught trying to smuggle 2 kg of pure cocaine.
Officers were alerted to the man, who had travelled from Brazil, by a sniffer dog and a search revealed PLN 500,000 worth of the drug hidden inside motorcycle wheel hubs, reports Fakt.
“He claimed the hubs were presents for his father,” says Piotr Talal, a spokesman for Warsaw’s Customs Chamber. “It had a black market value of PLN 400,000 but could have easily been sold for PLN 500,000.”
