What is going on with Easter Monday?What is going on with Easter Monday? In order to save our eternal souls from damnation we all needed to be prevented from shopping on holy days by the theocratic junta led by Poland’s new potatoes, as one German newspaper referred to them, Jaroslaw Kaczyński and Lech Kaczyński. (Not that I could possibly agree Lech looks like a spud). But the day after Easter has no special religious significance at all. So why were all the shops and, more importantly, almost all the bars closed? Thank Buddha for Sense café on Nowy Świat, at least they were forward-thinking enough to open up and keep the cocktails flowing.
