Police are now hunting for the offender
Police in Lodz are offering a PLN 3,000 reward to anyone who can help them catch the person who buried a dog alive.
Reports in Gazeta Wyborcza state the German Shepherd was found buried up to the neck in an allotment and had to be put down shortly after it was rescued.
“Unfortunately the dog had a tumour and we had no choice,” says Jaroslaw Dziwisinski, the vet who tended to the animal.
So far authorities have no idea who is responsible for the cruel act as the dog has yet to be identified.
