Fabianski is looking for a place in EURO 2012
Lukasz Fabianski wants out of Arsenal in order to challenge for a place in the Polish squad at Euro 2012, but the chances look slim as the Pole is currently injured, and the London side have just loaned out third-choice keeper, Vito Mannone. “I was surprised when I heard that, because it leaves me with much less room for manoeuvre,” Fabianski told Przeglad Sportowy.
He revealed that he had spoken several weeks ago to Arsene Wenger about a possible move. “I want to be the first-choice keeper, and if that isn’t possible, then I want to go to a team where I will play - even if it’s for a six-month loan,” the Pole told the Arsenal manager. But if Arsenal let Fabianski go now, it would leave them with only 19-year-old Damien Martinez as cover for Fabianski’s Polish compatriot, Wojciech Szczesny.
