Michal B. is facing up to 10 years in prison for the theft of two packet soups and some washing up liquid. Michal B. of Kolsko clearly felt hungry on the evening of 6th January, and so he purportedly cut a window pane out of a family house in Konotop, in the district of Nowy Sol. He squirmed in and helped himself to two packs of soup - a goulash with noodles and a tomato soup with rice. On his way out, he is accused of helping himself to a bottle of washing-up liquid. The stolen items are estimated to come to a value of PLN 30.Police soon identified the culprit and arrested him a few days after the burglary on January 10th. By then, he had managed to consume both soups and use up all the washing-up liquid. He has been charged with theft and burglary.
Inner city rustlers
Gorzow police encountered two men behaving suspiciously by the banks of the Warta river this Tuesday evening. It turned out that the two men, aged 25 and 35, were rustling fish in the city centre. Police caught the men red-handed as they were hauling in a net. Despite the general opinion that the Warts is not the cleanest river, they had caught dozens of fish.
Both men were kept in police cells overnight. the fishing equipment has been seized and the Fisheries Patrol informed of the infringement, which carries a maximum sentence of two years in prison.
