The project would also forbid engaging in other winter and water sports while intoxicated, threatening fines of up to PLN 5,000. Rescue workers are sceptical, however, and believe the new rules will not change much.
“I’m afraid this will be an unenforceable regulation,” Tatra Mountain Rescue Service deputy chief Adam Marasek told the daily
Gazeta Krakowska. “After all, the police can’t put patrols on every slope.”
