Komorowski has called for other nations to invest in Poland
President Bronislaw Komorowski this week urged world business leaders to invest in Poland.
Speaking at the Davos World Economic Forum currently being held in Switzerland, Mr Komorowski presented the country as “A world of opportunities at your fingertips” and promoted the Warsaw Stock Exchange, according to TVN24.
“One year ago at Davos, it was said that Poland was an economically strong organism,” said the president. “And it is clear that my optimism remains true. GDP grew by over four percent last year, decreasing our budget deficit and the number of companies registered on the Warsaw Stock Exchange rose to 426.”
He also pointed to a “healthy foundation for the Polish banking sector” and claimed that the country “stands out positively in comparison with other EU nations”.
“If I come away having been able to increase the amount of trust towards Poland, then I will consider this trip to have been a success,” he said.
