Police have returned the boy to his parents

Police in Lublin were shocked this week to find that the driver of a speeding car they were pursuing was a drunken 14-year-old boy.

The incident occurred on Sunday night after the teenager decided to take his parents’ Fiat Uno for a spin without their knowledge. However when he saw the police car, he put his foot down in order to escape, states daily Fakt. The chase lasted only a short time though and ended when the boy crashed into a wall.

He was duly arrested by the officers before being returned to the care of his parents. The car is currently being repaired.
