Poland's streets will be much safer with Lomiarz behind bars
Polish courts ruled this week that Henry R. (more commonly referred to by his nickname ‘Lomiarz’) is to return to jail.
Despite being sentenced to seven years behind bars in 2009 for assault on a woman, the case has continued to drag on until now. However the court has stated that this decision is final.
“The court agrees with the findings of the district court and the assessment of the evidence,” said Judge Mariusz Jackowski.
He stressed that the accused kicked the victim in the back and “must have at least been aware” that his brutal behaviour would cause an injury.
‘Lomiarz’ (roughly translated as ‘crowbar’) is no stranger the the Polish judicial system and has reportedly spent most of his adult life behind bars for a number of crimes.
