Zdzislaw Krecina, former general secretary of the Polish FA (PZPN) is still receiving his full salary of PLN 37,500 per month, despite having been removed from his position on suspicion of corruption, reported Przeglad Sportowy this week. Krecina was recorded in secret making suspicious statements regarding the tender process for building the PZPN’s new headquarters.

However, despite official statements declaring Krecina was not eligible for any severance pay or golden handshakes, Przeglad Sportowy revealed that, under the terms of his contract, Krecina will receive his full monthly payment for 13 months - an annual salary of PLN 450,000, while doing absolutely nothing.

Prior to the corruption allegations, Krecina was under the spotlight after reportedly boarding a LOT flight following a friendly match in a state of total inebriation, forcing the pilot to eject him prior to take off.
