Some taxis are charging more for people with guide dogs
Gazeta Wyborcza ran a report this week about how people with guide dogs are being charged more in taxis and hotels.
One taxi firm in Warsaw stated it charged an additional PLN 10 as it “needed to send a combi” while a well-known hotel in the capital asked for an extra PLN 20 per day.
“It’s totally unreasonable,” states Malgorzata Peretiatkowicz of the TUS Foundation which aids people with disabilities. “Using a guide dog is not a fad. It’s like charging people extra for wearing glasses.”
