Province Gov’t Helps Jews Reclaim Cemetery

A cemetery visited by hundreds of Hassidic Jews every year will return to its original owners after a co-operative in the Silesian town of Lelów decided to accept a joint offer from the province government and the local Jewish community on Wednesday.

A cemetery visited by hundreds of Hassidic Jews every year will return to its original owners after a co-operative in the Silesian town of Lelów decided to accept a joint offer from the province government and the local Jewish community on Wednesday. According to local daily Dziennik Zachodni, the co-op plans to use the PLN 806,000 it will get for the cemetery to open a guesthouse in its immediate vicinity.
