A vehicle carrying Second World War mortar and artillery ammunition exploded for unknown reasons in a military area in the south-western city of Gliwice on Tuesday, starting a blaze and scaring area residents, but apparently leaving everyone unharmed. Nine fire brigade units were required to put out the fire and four streets around the explosion zone had to be closed.
