Drugs possession row rages on

Poland’s ongoing drugs debate continued this week with the majority of major parties making their personal stance on the matter clear in the press.
The issue has made headlines once again following proposals by the more liberal Palikot Movement (RP) that people should be allowed to possess a small amount of marijuana and soft drugs for their own personal use, reports news station TVN24.
However such suggestions have long been criticized by other more popular parties, including some smaller ones too.
Pawel Olszewski of the leading Civic Platform party (PO) has hit out at the proposals, claiming that the majority of those in favour of change have children themselves.
