President's Ratings Sink after Footie Gaffes

President Lech Kaczyński’s ratings hit their lowest level since his election in 2005 this week, after a series of PR embarrassments around Poland’s already disastrous Euro 2008 campaign in Austria and Switzerland.
Kaczyński was caught by cameras holding his “Polska” scarf wrong side out at last week’s game against Croatia. He later told national television that the team’s best performances had come from Roger Perreiro (real name Guerreiro) and “our goalkeeper Artur Borubar” (real name Boruc).
