This week’s national sporting heroes, after Robert Kubica crashed out of Sunday’s British Grand Prix, are the men’s national fencing team, who brought home a silver medal from the European Championships in Kiev. Sławomir Mocek, Radosław Glonek, Michał Majewski and Tomasz Ciepły defeated Israel and Russia in the quarter and semi-finals before falling to reigning champions Italy in the final 45:30.
