I’ve stayed away, in a decade as a journalist in Poland, from playing the cultural comparison game. This is better, this is worse. Too often it seems like cheap fare, oversimplified by too many beers in the pub or too many bitter days trying to overcome the language barrier with bureaucratic gatekeepers.
