A man who came to an emergency clinic with a knife wound to his back on Friday night tried to cover up for his girlfriend by inventing a robbery.

Police in Lublin have determined that a man who came to a local emergency clinic with a knife wound to his back on Friday night was only trying to cover for his girlfriend when he claimed to have been attacked by three toughs on the street. Investigators found no signs of the alleged incident at the site the man indicated, and when they questioned the man’s live-in girlfriend she admitted to having stabbed him during a domestic row. She now faces up to five years in prison for the attack.
