Myspace closes down

Popular social networking site Myspace is closing down its main office in Warsaw, after failing to make any real impact on the Polish market.

The Polish version, which lasted just five months, has struggled to compete with other similar sites, such as nasza-klasa and facebook.

Poland is not the first country where Myspace has failed, with the Netherlands and South Korea having also previously pulled the plug.

The site, which is owned by Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp. also announced last year that it was to ditch another of its Polish ventures, TV Plus. ...
