There is a lot of confusion over appearances in the Lodz area. Police from Piotrkow Trybunalski have arrested a Bydgoszcz man who was selling counterfeit goods at a local bazaar. After receiving a tip-off, the officers forced their way through a crowd to the owner of a black BMW who had dozens of fake electrical hand-tools on the back seat and in the boot. The BMW, it transpired, had also been illegally imported into the country by the 28-year-old who now faces three years in prison for his actions.Elsewhere, though, police officers themselves were guilty of deceit as three Lodz policemen were arrested by the Office of Internal Affairs for theft and bribery.
