This is not the first time that Poland has experienced human organs being sold online
Police are currently investigating a Polish man who recently attempted to sell both his kidney and bone marrow in an internet auction. The seller, known only to the authorities by his username ‘Rumun_79’, posted the offer on allegro (Poland’s most well-known internet auction site) with an initial reserve asking price of PLN 40,000 for each item. He initially stated that the main reasoning behind the sale was a ‘difficult financial situation’, however both items were removed last week by the user before being bought, with no explanation.
