ZOMO victims to receive compensation

Families of the victims of Poland’s communist-era militia (ZOMO) could receive compensation if a new bill is passed.The Law and Justice Party (PiS) has proposed that up to PLN 50,000 should be paid out to the families of those who died at the hands of the group.
Amongst those mentioned are the nine miners who were killed when the Katowice Special Platoon opened fire on them at the Wujek mine in 1981 after martial law was introduced. ...
