Beenhakker took flak from all angles following a suicidal performance by star keeper Artur Boruc
Poland coach Leo Beenhakker has seen the pressure lift following his teams 10-0 win over San Marino on Wednesday. Beenhakker’s future has been subject to fierce debate, with some sources claiming a replacement coach had already been lined up following Poland’s dismal 3-2 defeat away in Northern Ireland.The match, marred throughout by thuggish scenes in the away end, saw Beenhakker take flak from all angles following a suicidal performance by star keeper Artur Boruc. Boruc was dropped for the San Marino game, and a revitalised Poland side stormed into the lead after just 25 seconds after Rafal Boguski scored the fastest goal in Polish history.
