Poland’s health authorities say that they have confirmed the nation’s first case of swine flu.

Poland’s health authorities say that they have confirmed the nation’s first case of swine flu.

Health Minister Ewa Kopacz told reporters earlier this week that the official National Health Centre Lab had discovered the flu virus in a 58 year old woman who was returning from New York at the beginning of the month.

The woman in question has since been hospitalised in the south-eastern city of Mielec but is said to be in a ‘stable condition’.
