Poland plans for hosting the 2012 European football championships received a boost after UEFA, the game’s European governing body, confirmed that at least four venues in the country would stage the games.

Warsaw, Wroclaw, Gdansk and Poznan all got the UEFA seal of approval following a series of inspections into the progress of stadia and infrastructure preparations.
