The trial of those involved in the Katowice Trade Fair tragedy, where the roof of the display hall collapsed during a pigeon-fanciers’ fair in January 2006, began in the Katowice Regional Court this week. The incident in which 65 people died and 140 were injured was Poland’s worst building disaster in the entire post-war period.
