Kaczynski angered over coalition calls for expellees to be universally recognised
Opposition leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has been accused of turning the question of German expellees into an election issue following his call for the government to leave the European People’s Party (EPP) after two of its German members put forward a resolution for the universal condemnation of German post-war expulsions.Speaking on Wednesday, the Law and Justice (PiS) leader said that if PO did not quit the EPP it would be a show of ‘disloyalty’ towards the Polish people since the resolution adopted by the German government’s CDU/CSU coalition, which is also a member of the EPP along with Poland, “questions the result of the Second World War”.
