The Polish economy is doing well despite the global downturn Prime Minister Tusk told a press conference this week after the release of GUS retail sales statistics. "We welcome today's GUS data with slight satisfaction and relief," said Tusk. "It is only 1% [growth] but to post growth in such conditions is a calming signal regarding the state of Polish economy."
Falling unemployment also gave the premier cause for optimism after it was reported to have dropped from 11.2 percent to 11 percent in March
