Wisla Krakow won the Polish Ekstraklasa football league in dramatic style last weekend following a 4-2 thriller away at relegation threatened Lechia Gdansk.
Gdansk took a surprise first minute lead before the defending champions hit back with four second half goals, three of them coming with thirteen minutes remaining. Hoping to beat Krakow to top spot were Leiga Warszawa and Lech Poznan, both of whom could only manage away draws, thereby handing the Krakow side their fifth title in eight years.
Lech, who won the Polish FA Cup the previous week, found themselves involved in a 3-3 thriller at Polonia Warszawa, while Legia Warszawa could only muster a 1-1 draw against Slask Wroclaw. Legia ...
