Questions surround actress’s claims of being mugged

A police investigation has been launched into an attack on an actress who recently appeared in a Law and Justice (PiS) European Parliamentary election advert.

According to reports, Anna Cugier-Kotka, who in 2007 took part in a campaign for rival party Civic Platform (PO), was brutally assaulted last Saturday in front of her house by a group of young men who, she claims, repeatedly struck her and called her a “PiS whore.”

Now she has criticised the police, accusing them of refusing to file her report after the attack, and claims that she had to phone “five or six times” before receiving any police assistance.
