Catholic orders in Poland have slammed the singer Madonna for being anti-Christian and are threatening mass demonstrations if she does not change the date of her concert in the country.The Unum Principum Catholic Society which initiated the protests, says that because the 51-year-old singer’s 15th August concert in the Catholic country is scheduled to take place on a religious day, to perform would be ‘sacrilege’.
“It harms our religious sentiment. Besides that, Madonna’s performances are anti-Christian,” said Krzysztof Zagozda from Unum Principum. He added that in his opinion the concert had been organized on the Catholic feast day as a clear attempt to stir up controversy.
