Polish politicians elected to the European Parliament are to receive up to eight hours of English lessons a day in order to improve their language skills.

PiS leader Jaroslaw Kaczynski has warned that without a strong command of either English or French, a European Parliament politician is merely a “forth-rate deputy.”

According to official data from the Sejm’s Chancellery, 300 of the 460 that ran in the elections stated that their English skills were ‘very good’. ...
