Blind outrage

Blind Poles launched a nationwide protest Wednesday claiming discrimination and violation of their voting rights during the European Parliamentary elections, held on June 7.
According to the protestors, their voting rights had been ignored since they were unable to vote in a secret ballot.
In order to cast their vote, they had to tell a third party the name of their choice candidate. That third person then entered the name onto the ballot paper. This, they say, is illegal.
Those blind people who refused to have a third person present found themselves unable to fill out the ballot papers as there were none in braille.
