CBA investigates govt. purchases

The Central Anti-corruption Bureau (CBA) has launched an investigation into purchases made by government offices suspected of not following formal tender procedures, according to a report in this week’s Wprost magazine. According to the report, the CBA has serious doubts concerning the purchase of IT services by, among others, the Agency of Restructurisation and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR).
The agents are checking to see whether criminal corruption took place.
The transactions for IT services cost the ARiMR more than PLN 0.5 billion. Over the past three years, an undisclosed number of government agencies have made more than a thousand transactions worth several billion zlot ...
