Poles afraid of marriage

A new survey has shown that Poles are choosing to get married later - an average age of 30 compared to 23 ten years ago.

The study, conducted by Dziennik, also shed light on the fears of tying the knot.

Forty-eight per cent of women were afraid of an unhappy marriage, while over half of the men questioned said their biggest fear was loss of freedom and financial trouble.

When asked about settling down with a family, 39 per cent claimed they didn’t have anywhere planned to move into.

However when quizzed about being content with their lack of commitment, 53 percent of men said they were happy, compared to only 36 percent of women. ...
