State aims to stop spanking of children

The majority of Polish parents believe that they have the right to occasionally punish their children by spanking them.

In a report carried out by the Nobody’s Children Foundation, 60 percent agreed that the practice was justified and there was no need to introduce laws to prevent it.

As many as 90 percent of those that took part strongly disapproved with the beating of children with objects such as belts or slapping them in the face.
